Oh Christmas Tree

Hubby and I went shopping for a "real" Christmas tree this after-Thanksgiving weekend. The last three years, we bought from Don Quijote. This year...I decided to try another place and ended up at Home Depot. I also wanted to avoid crowds since I was still recovering from the previous Black Friday shopping frenzy. Personally, I'd prefer to pick my (our) tree from a tree farm or even better to harvest your own tree as seen in the movie, "Deck the Halls" (minus the crazy neighbors, of course!)

Home Depot had a good selection and within minutes, we picked our tree and loaded it on top of a shopping cart...in line to have the bottom of the tree trunk to be cut off. As excited as I was to finally get a tree, I've been slow to start decorating. Perhaps...tonight, I'll bring out the tree trimmings. So far, I've only put on the twinkling lights and we're both enjoying the wonderfully fragrant fresh pine smell!

have children right now

Now that R and I have gotten married...quite a handful of friends, relatives and even co-workers have been asking us "so, when are you going to have a baby?" That's pressure! And we've only been married for less than 3 months. Funny thing is that my mom and MIL haven't asked and may be keeping it to themselves, even though I KNOW they are so ready for grandchildren.

I'm turning 34 this year, and I know the clock is ticking, those ovaries are turning into prunes as I type this. Guys are lucky in this, that they never have to worry about it! They can have kids when they are 80 years old. Ugh. We're both ready to have kids...we've talked about it and even have names picked out! He wants a big family and I'm comfortable with whatever I can pop out! 2 is perfect...a boy and a girl...and if I have twins on the first try...that's even more awesome! But then again, I also want to spend more time together as a couple, traveling and enjoying opportunities that you won't really have anymore after kids. Is that being selfish?

a bad hair day

it is not easy being a girl!

i want a new hairstyle...actually I just need to trim it but then I want to see how long I can grow it out. no, i really do want a brand new hairstyle. but then again it's not cheap to have my hair done here. if only i was back home *sighs*

i need bangs to cover my huge and hideous forehead. and it seems that my bangs have a tendency to grow a tad too fast and go all out of *whack* after a few weeks.

i was hoping i could just ignore it but i'm tired of wearing a hairband to keep it out of my eyes *ouch* so i made an appointment to go get my bangs trimmed after work.
