pet peeve
I have all sorts of pet peeves when it comes to driving and traffic on Oahu but the one (or two) that BUGS the hell out of me most is how the other person next to my car parks and/or how tiny some parking stalls are (that even a compact car can't FIT).
I am a bit on the OCD side...when I park - this is how I do it:
- I always park within the marked stall and making sure my tires are NOT on the lines.
- IMHO it's easier and I do a better job at reverse parking my car than front in first. Plus there's no hassle when I'm ready to leave my stall.
- I always make sure I have equal space/distance between my car on either sides so that the drivers next to me can get into their vehicles without doing fancy acrobatics.
- I straighten out until I park as straight as I can!
- and I prefer to park my car in a stall that is NOT small or limited!
Then, you have those (pardon my french) that park like a total DICKH3AD:
- A selfish idiot who takes up two stalls or two spaces on the street.
- Idiots who cannot park straight or bother to straighten out.
- Inconsiderate jerks who park ummm...a little too close and you know the jerk squeeze in knowing his/her vehicle won't fit the marked stall. Plus there is no way in HELL either one of us can enter and exit our vehicles now without hitting each others cars'. Jerk, how do you expect me to get out of here, anyway?
- There is a reason why these stalls are reserved for COMPACT CARS - thus the signage!
Grrr...I'm pissed of because I found another "ding" on my car door!
Maybe you don't care about the way you park, maybe you just don't like other human beings—whatever the case may be—there is no classification for you and we've lost hope. Take a look at the other violations and you may learn a thing or two about parking "not-so-much-like-an-a$$hole".
