Water Puddle (Day 12)

Img_4779copy
Aiya...it must have rained really hard last night! Noticed this puddle of water on the carpet flooring by our elevator (on the 19th floor) as we were heading out this morning. Looks like it's gonna be another rainy and windy day in Hawaii Nei. In fact, it's raining cats & dogs outside and the forecast is for the rain to keep getting heavier...

Be careful. Stay warm, stay dry and stay safe!

Droplets of Water (Day 10)

It is a gloomy and rainy day in Honolulu today, a total opposite from yesterday's sunny skies.

Rainy days are often not so good. I don't like being outdoors when it rains because sometimes I don't like getting wet. It makes my hair extra frizzy! So today's daily was re-created. I was watering our indoor office plants and decided to make pour a little extra water to create droplets of "rain" on the plant. Next time, I'll try to take a photograph of the rain, let alone in the rain.

A Tall Tree (Day 6)

There are taller trees, I know but I like this one! Just a few days ago, I noticed its pretty pink blossoms (though you can't really see from this photo). It's quite comforting to the body and mind, as I take a deep breath, relax and exhale...before I armed our car and head up to the apartment to tend to the husband.

One day when we have our own yard...I want tall trees like this. Filled with pretty blossoms and/or delicious fruits (lychee, mangoes, DURIAN)...

Bento Lunch (Day 5)

I can't remember what I was doing on the computer when the power went out just before 11 in the morning at the office.

It was almost close to lunch time but strangely...I wasn't hungry yet. So my co-worker and I decided to lock up and walk down 11 flight of stairs to run errands in hopes the power will turn back on when we were done. First, I went to 2 separate banks to make a withdrawal first, then a deposit after. Still not hungry, so I walked around Ala Moana center for a bit before venturing inside Victoria's Secret. They were having the SEMI ANNUAL SALE...and walked out an hour later with two bags of awesome discounted goodies!!!

Happy and a little broke, now I'm hungry. Walked into Nijiya Market and picked up a "sweet and sour chicken bento" as pictured above for lunch. While eating, co-worker called and said still no power (two hours later...) and she was going home. I called my boss, and he said to go home too.

Sunset (Day 4)

My first (but not last...) sunset for 2011.

My favorite time of the day is at sunset...it always makes me smile and it kinda brings the day to an end for me. And I just love seeing what colors the sky can produce!

What's your favorite time of the day?
